Multi-store inventory sync starter checklist

By Ops Playbooks Team

A pragmatic checklist for merchants wiring up their first authoritative store and sync buckets inside Syncvenio.

Most merchants wire their first bucket during a sprint where inventory chaos is already happening. This checklist keeps the focus on the minimum viable signals:

  1. Confirm which store (and location) is authoritative for quantity changes.
  2. Capture every additional storefront domain + location pair that should follow the leader.
  3. Decide whether launch-day inventory needs a fresh snapshot or if webhook deltas are enough.

Recommended rollout sequence

1. Authorize the primary store

Use the “Install app” CTA on Launchpad or the inline form on the dashboard landing page. Shopify will redirect you back with a session token once scopes are approved.

2. Create your first bucket

Buckets are just intent — pick an easy name, choose the authoritative store, and add your follower stores. You can save with a single store, but Syncvenio will warn you until at least two stores participate.

3. Trigger a manual sync

Before flipping on scheduled jobs, run a manual sync to capture a snapshot of the first comparison. This gives operators a clear before/after and verifies webhook subscriptions were created.

4. Enable scheduled + webhook syncs

Head to the bucket management panel to enable scheduled runs. Once webhooks start firing you’ll see latency and throughput charts populate automatically.

What’s next?

Once this starter checklist feels routine, graduate to multiple buckets, deeper automation runs, and integrations with your alerting pipeline. Drop us a note at support@syncvenio.com if you want the internal SOP template our ops team uses when helping enterprise rollouts.
