Syncvenio (“we”, “us”, “our”, “the App”) provides inventory synchronization and related services for Shopify merchants. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our website or app.

1. Who We Are
Syncvenio is operated by an individual based in Canada.
We comply with Canadian privacy laws including PIPEDA, and we extend GDPR-style rights to all users (including EU residents) even though we do not actively target EU markets.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect information necessary for operating the app and website.
2.1 Shopify Store Data
When you install Syncvenio via Shopify OAuth, we receive:
- Store name
- Store domain
- Store ID
- Access tokens
- Granted scopes
2.2 Inventory & Product Data
To sync inventory between stores, we access:
- Product IDs and variant IDs
- SKU numbers
- Inventory quantities
- Location IDs (when required)
2.3 Operational & Log Data
We collect operational telemetry to keep the service reliable, including:
- Sync timestamps
- SKU-level changes
- Sync job results
- Error logs
- Webhook payload details (non-customer)
2.4 Account & Billing Data
For paid subscriptions, we collect:
- Stripe Customer ID
- Subscription ID
- Plan name
- Plan start/end date
- Subscription status
- Last invoice ID
Payment Security
We do not collect or store credit card numbers. Stripe handles all sensitive payment details.
2.5 Website & Marketing Data
Collected through forms or analytics:
- Name (contact form)
- Email address (newsletter or contact form)
- Message content (contact form)
- Analytics data via Google Analytics
2.6 Email Communications
We may send:
- Transactional emails
- Onboarding emails
- Feature announcements
- Product marketing emails (only to subscribers or consenting users)
Email Delivery
All email is sent through ZeptoMail.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and operate the Syncvenio service, sync inventory across connected stores, authenticate access, process subscriptions, troubleshoot errors, improve performance and user experience, send onboarding/product updates, provide customer support, and maintain security.
We never sell your data.

For EU residents, we process data under:

5. Data Storage & Security
Transmission over the internet may still carry inherent risks.
5.1 Hosting Infrastructure
Your data is stored securely in the United States:
- Hetzner Cloud (Ashburn, VA) — backend services and PostgreSQL database
- Netlify — frontend hosting (United States)
5.2 Security Practices
We protect your data with:

- Encrypted database storage
- Access control and audit logging
6. Third-Party Services
We rely on reputable infrastructure and service providers:
- Shopify
- Stripe
- Hetzner Cloud (USA)
- Netlify (USA)
- Google Analytics
- ZeptoMail
Data Residency
These providers may store data in Canada, the United States, or other regions depending on their infrastructure.
7. Data Sharing
We may share data with trusted third parties when necessary to run the service:

No Selling of Data
We do not sell or rent personal data.
8. Data Retention
We retain information according to service needs:
- Store metadata while the app is installed
- Sync logs for 90 days
- Backups for 30 days
- Stripe billing metadata for the duration of the subscription
Uninstallation & Deletion
When you uninstall Syncvenio, Shopify tokens are revoked, webhooks are removed, and store configuration is deleted.
Full deletion requests are always honored.
9. Your Rights
You may request:
- Access to your data
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion
- Export (data portability)
- Withdrawal of consent
- Restriction of processing (EU residents)
